Thursday, 18 March 2021, the ECBA held its first official meeting with EPPO representatives.
The ECBA was represented by Vânia Costa Ramos, Vice-Chair, Holger Matt and Amedeo Barletta (members of the EPPO Working Group). The EPPO was represented by Danilo Ceccarelli, Deputy European Chief Prosecutor and by Emmanuel Farhat, Senior Legal Officer.
The meeting was very open and constructive. It laid the foundations for further dialogue and cooperation between the EPPO and the ECBA in matters of common interest in relation to EPPO proceedings. The EPPO expects to start its operations later this year.
Our dedicated Working Group will continue to develop its work and is keen on receiving any contribution from its members in regard to practice in EPPO proceedings.
